Born in Martinsville, Virginia, and raised in southeastern Oregon. I am currently the only female in the state of Mississippi on death row. I find myself far away from family and friends. I have been housed in a medium security prison, locked down in a maximum security housing unit in solitary confinement for 19 years. Being secluded from general population for so long has come with many difficult challenges. I have learned not to take for granted the small things life behind bars offers - from a phone call, a friendly face, or a longing letter in the mail.

I was married in 1986 at 16 years old. This relationship did not last long. In the following years, there were different partners that resulted in my three children and 5 grandchildren whom I adore. Some days, this is the only thing that keeps hope alive.

I have traveled from coast to coast as my significant other owned a successful trucking company. I was fortunate enough to see much of the US. As a result, I love beautiful pictures of the countryside. Before this, I did CNA work in many different facets of the medical community in which I thrived on and loved.

I love God and believe in Jesus. I love sharing my testimony with anyone who will listen. My interests include, but are not limited to - food, travel, crafting, prison reform, God, animals, and music. My name is Lisa Jo Chamberlain. I am blessed and loved.
