Hello there. My name is Alicia. I am 30 years old. I have blonde hair and blue-green eyes. Some people say they change color with my moods. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. I currently live at ICIW, Iowa's Correctional Institute for Women. A classy way of saying I'm in prison.

I have been locked up since I was 20. I turned 21 in county jail. I can honestly say I have grown up in prison. I don't know what I would have done with my life if I had never been sent here.

I've learned a lot about myself and who I want to be in my years here. I work in a warehouse. I check in inventory and organize it to be sent to other departments. I absolutely love it. Even more when I get to go back and upholster. I have always liked to work with my hands. Being able to take a chair that looks like it's from the 1800s and making it look brand new and chic is so rewarding.

I have been taking a lot of college courses. I just recently started a computer coding program. They are teaching us to be able to code. I never thought I would have so much fun doing it, but I love it. I guess that kinda makes me a nerd. If I am being honest, I have other nerd tendencies. I love playing video games. That's a favorite pasttime of mine.

I'm a very big music person. I like any music, really, with the exception of most screamo. If I can't understand what's being yelled at me it tends to take away from the music. Otherwise I'm very open to all kinds of music.

I've been told I have a very bubbly and loud personality. I'm not quiet sure what that means exactly, but I have a friend who thinks it's a way of saying I'm aggressive without offending someone....
